Ice Cream Headache?

Tuesday July 15, 2003
If you have ever had an ice cream headache (caused by eating anything frozen too fast), you'll appreciate this tip I learned from Better Homes & Gardens. To get rid of that pain quickly, press your thumb against the roof of your mouth right behind your front teeth. Scientists don't know why this works, because they don't know what causes that 'brain freeze'.

Now that you have learned this, you need to make some ice cream treats! No, I don't recommend eating them so quickly that it hurts, but you'll be prepared just in case. My favorites include Crispy Ice Cream Dessert, Rocky Road Pie, or Lemonade Pie. Eat without fear!
