Cinnamon Offers Health Benefits

I've never been really big on food as medicine (known as nutraceuticals), but if a food will help improve your health, I will include more of it in my diet. A new study has shown that cinnamon, of all things, may help lower blood sugar, triglyceride levels, and cholesterol levels. All you need is 1/4 teaspoon taken twice daily. So add some cinnamon to applesauce or apple cider, and make some cinnamon sugar (heavy on the spice) to sprinkle on hot cereals or buttered toast, and try Apple Cinnamon Glazed Chicken.

I have type 2 diabetes for the past 20 years. I am insulin dependent but started using Cinnamon supplements and after two weeks of taking the supplements along with my priscribed medication, I could see a drop on my suger levels. I too have tried other natural foods but none have shown results as the Cinnamon supplements I am taking now.
