It's the Super Bowl! Or Not.

Monday January 29, 2007
Next Sunday is the Super Bowl! It's a great excuse to throw a party in the dead of winter. And if you're not football-inclined, throw an Anti-Super Bowl Party. Gather a great group of friends and watch a movie, play some games, discuss books, or just dish with great recipes like Pesto Brie Bruschetta (pictured). If you are into football, you don't need any more instructions from me! Just set out a lot of great food and enjoy.

Super Bowl Appetizer Exchange!

Here are some more appetizer ideas from Fiona, the Guide to Low Fat Cooking. Low Fat Red Pepper Dip is a creamy dip that uses a blend of fat-free cream cheese and fat-free sour cream flavored with sweet red peppers, garlic, cumin and Worcestershire Sauce. Scoop up this dip with chopped veggies or warmed pita triangles. And Potato Skins are a great choice. You can't have a Super Bowl party without potato skins. Try these lower fat nibblers, which feature reduced-fat cheese and fat-free sour cream.
