Everyday Menus: Crockpot Chicken Wild Rice Casserole
Thursday August 9, 2007
If it's too hot to cook, try using your slow cooker! The wonder appliance cooks food to perfection without heating up the kitchen. Wild rice cooks beautifully in the crockpot, unlike white rice. It's the perfect complement to tender chicken, baby carrots, and smoky bacon. Serve this main dish with a fruity spinach salad, some warm flatbread, and a special fudgy, chocolate dessert.Photo © 2007 Linda Larsen, licensed to About.com, Inc.
