Discoveries, Assorted Newish
Guide picks
These new products are those I found to be simply wonderful. They will either save you a ton of time in the kitchen, or they are so innovative and delicious that you have to try them, at least once.

Top Convenience Products
These are the best convenience products, in my opinion. I use them every single week in my cooking, and they are always stored in my pantry, fridge, or freezer.

Disposable Cutting Sheets
You know by now how I'm very aware of food safety. I bought this product the first day it was available in my area and I love it. Prepare raw meats on these sheets, toss them in the pan or oven, and throw the sheets away along with all the bacteria! What a brilliant idea.

Decorating Spray
Have you ever wondered how bakeries get such perfect decorating results? They probably have an air brush! Now you can have one too, from Betty Crocker. These colored decorating sprays are the perfect finishing touch when used with food safe stencils.

Organic Poultry Sausage
This delicious sausages from Applegate Farms are free of antibiotics, hormones, nitrites and nitrates, gluten, and growth supplements. The farms they contract with have free-range animals. Their motto 'believe in what you eat' certainly appeals to me!

Oven/Refrigerator Combo
This is one of the neatest ideas I have seen in a long, long time. Whirlpool has developed a new oven which will keep food cold (yes, cold) until you're ready to cook it. The appliance then heats up and cooks the food - it will hold it, or chill it again.

Glazed Walnuts
Diamond Nuts is introducing new walnut varieties. These yummy products include walnuts glazed with caramel and sprinkled with sesame seeds, and another glazed with butter toffee.

Fully Cooked Roasts
Thomas E. Wilson offers these fully cooked, vacuum-sealed roasts that you just heat and serve. The meat is slow cooked and really does taste fabulous. Varieties include Beef Pot Roast, Lemon Pepper Pork Roast, and more.

Table Top Spice Grinders
A company called 'Elements of Spice' has come up with a great idea. Their new product is a container with a grinder built right in, filled with fabulous spice blends. Put it on your table instead of salt, and add a kick to your meals.

Mystic Melon
The Fancy Foods Show is a fascinating convention where new gourmet food products are introduced and showcased. I discovered this product in their press release. Timber Crest Farms offers Mystic Melon, a succulent dried cantaloupe snack. You've got to try it!
