We've had a lot of snow so far this winter! It's also been very cold, with highs around zero degrees Fahrenheit and lows well into the double digits below zero. Comfort foods are the answer to combat this type of weather. This weekend, cook and bake up some comfort foods to make your family and friends feel loved and well cared-for.
While comfort foods usually take longer to cook and are more complicated recipes, I've chosen foods that are still quick and easy for your weekend. Your crockpot will be well used, and the oven baking cakes and cookies not only help keep your house warm, but cozy too.
Get your family involved in the kitchen with you this weekend. Put some music on the stereo, light a fire in the fireplace, and have some good conversation with your kids while you prepare food together. Not only will you be passing a great tradition on to your kids, but you'll teach them about math and science while you cook. Enjoy your weekend, and stay warm and cozy!
