Hello---I’m Myron, aka “Beach Boy.” A life-long resident of Washington DC and Maryland and an ex-Defense Department employee, my wife Rita and I recently moved to Daytona Beach, Florida for a life on the beach. Our two “yuppie” kids live in the fast lane in L.A. One’s in the movie business, and one in personnel.

My three passions aside from the internet are barbershop harmony, walking and cooking. I got into cooking by necessity, when my first wife died, leaving me a single father. I took several cooking courses and charged right in! My favorite cuisines tend toward the spicy…Szechuan, Thai, Indian and Mexican. And my favorite appliances are my bread-maker (I love you!!!), my crock-pot and my clay cooker (Romertopf).

I love impromptu cooking…and I rarely use recipes, although I’m certain that I have one of the largest collections of cookbooks in my city! I was fortunate enough to travel extensively during my time in the DOD, including a two-year stay in England.
