SITE TIPS
There are four main sections on the Busy Cooks Home Page. Here's how to navigate all the information and get the most out of every visit to Busy Cooks. At the top of the page there is a gray bar with a row of links below my picture. Click on my picture or underlined name, and you will go to my bio page, where you can learn more about me and my experience, as well as an email address you can use to reach me with questions. In the gray bar below my picture, there are links to the site Home Page, Articles, Chat Room and the Busy Cooks Forum, signup for the free Busy Cooks Newsletter, and Help Pages. In the dark gray bar above my name you'll find a search box that you can use to search Busy Cooks for information, articles, and recipes.
On the left side of the page there is a box called Essentials. This is a collection of topics that I feel are most important to learn how to cook quickly and efficiently. Only five are listed on the Home Page. Click on the word "Essentials" in the red bar at the top of the box and you'll be able to access all eight Essentials topics. Below the Essentials box is a Buyer's Guide, which has a collection of kitchen items and cookbooks I feel will help you get the most out of the time spent in the kitchen.
The Subject List is on the left side of each page below the Essentials box. This is a collection of sites around the internet, grouped by topic and listed alphabetically, that I believe will give you the best and most complete information on each topic. My articles and information are gradually being added to each topic too. Click on any of these topics and you'll go to a page that contains brief descriptions of each site that I have linked to. At the bottom of this list, "Subject Library" describes each topic and the sites that link to it. Below the Subject List you'll find Did You Know, which is information on little-known facts, a special recipe, current foodie information and trends, or anything at all! For a chronological list of all the articles at Busy Cooks, click on "All Articles On This Topic" at the bottom of the Subjects gray box.
The center column is my blog, or web log, a continually updated online diary that I use to tell you about new features on the site, recipes I really enjoy, happenings in the food world, and news highlights. The Blog Archive is where you can find a list of all the blog entries I have written.
Now that you've taken a little bit of time to learn more about the site, you'll be able to navigate with ease and find just the information you're looking for. And you can always contact me with specific questions, or post in the Forum to get great information from cooks all around the world.
