Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 15 oz. can Italian style tomato sauce
- 4 oz. jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation:
In large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Meanwhile, sprinkle drumsticks with flour. Brown drumsticks in oil for 3-4 minutes until they begin to brown. Place drumsticks in slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients except water and cornstarch and mix to blend. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
In small bowl, combine water and cornstarch and blend well. Stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on high 15-20 minutes longer until thickened. 4 servings
