Crockpot Ham Balls

This recipe has such a wonderful depth of flavor because of the sweet and sour ginger sauce and the graham cracker crumbs in the ham balls.

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 5 hours,

Ingredients:

  • 9 oz. bottle sweet and sour sauce
  • 1/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • dash white pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 cup ground fully cooked ham
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil

Preparation:

Combine sweet and sour sauce, juice, brown sugar, 1/4 tsp. ginger, and white pepper in 3-4 quart crockpot. [p[]In medium bowl, combine milk and egg and beat well to mix. Add crumbs and mix well. Add ground ham and ground pork and mix well. Shape into 30 meatballs. Brown meatballs in olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add to sauce mixture in crockpot as the meatballs brown. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours. You can keep these warm on low for up to 2 hours. 30 meatballs
