Ingredients:
- 2 (15 oz.) cans spicy chili beans, undrained
- 1-1/2 cups ground beef substitute crumbles
- 8 oz. pkg. corn bread mix
- 1 Tbsp. bacon flavored bits
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray 2 quart glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.In large skillet, combine beans and crumbles. Heat until bubbly, about 4-5 minutes. Spoon hot mixture into prepared baking dish.
In medium bowl, prepare corn bread mix as directed on package, adding bacon flavored bits, red pepper flakes, green onions, and cheese. Mix just until blended, then drop by spoonfuls over bean mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes until corn bread is deep golden brown and bean mixture is bubbly. 4-6 servings
