These countertop microwave ovens are very powerful, with many options, watts of cooking power and power level settings to choose from. Sensor cooking options take the guess work out of cooking. Most of these ovens have a child lock feature, ample capacity, and removable turntables. Kenmore appliances from Sears are very reliable.

Sharp's new Half Pint is an ideal microwave for small apartments or dorm rooms. Despite its small size, you can fit a 10" dinner plate inside on its turntable. 3) Emerson MW8779W
This microwave from Emerson offers a new type of cooking, the Omni Wave System. It has 800 watts, 0.7 cu. ft. oven capacity, 10 power levels, 5 preprogrammed recipes, auto weight defrost and a pause button, along with an electronic child lock-out for safety. Emerson's reliability record is excellent.

5) Panasonic NN-S251
One of Panasonic's over the range models has a 1.5 cu. ft. capacity, 1000 watts of power, eight categories of Auto Cook, a Popcorn Key, and Quick Minute addition. If you have the space for a microwave installation over your oven, add it! These ovens are a great value and save counter space.
