Red White Blue Appetizer Spread

This delicious spread recipe has patriotic colors; serve it for the Fourth of July or Labor Day on a picnic.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • 3 red apples
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Preparation:

Mix together the cream cheese, butter, blue cheese, and walnuts in a small bowl. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, and up to three days.

Core and slice the apples before serving and sprinkle with lemon juice. Serve spread with apples and a small knife for spreading. Serve immediately. Makes 6 servings.
