Tapenade Tartlets

By , About.com Guide

Tapenade is an olive paste that is readily available in grocery stores. If you can't find it in your supermarket, you can make your own Tapenade.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/3 cup tapenade
  • 16 grape tomatoes, or 8 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded Munster or Havarti cheese

Preparation:

Thaw puff pastry according to the directions on the package. Unfold the sheet and cut it into 16 squares. Place each square in a greased muffin cup.

Spread tapenade evenly over each square. Coarsely chop the grape or cherry tomatoes, and sprinkle over tapenade. Top each with Muenster cheese.

Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden brown, and cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from muffin cups and serve.
