Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 cup chopped red and green candied cherries
- 1/2 cup vanilla milk chips
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In medium bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and flour and mix until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans. Press into bottom of 8" square pan; bake at 350 degrees For 5-6 minutes until set.In large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, egg, and lemon juice and beat until smooth. By hand, stir in cherries. Spread filling over partially baked crust, then return to oven and bake for 18-20 minutes until set.
Cool on wire rack. Place vanilla milk chips in small microwave safe bowl and microwave at 30% power for 2-4 minutes until melted. Drizzle over cooled bars and cut into squares. Store in refrigerator. Makes about 16 bar cookies.
