Rocky Road Fudge Bars

This delicious recipe will work fine with any generic frosting mix. You may need to buy two packages to get the amount necessary (15 ounces). For the no bake version of this recipe, see No Bake Rocky Road Bars.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 4 (7-ounce) packages milk chocolate or fudge frosting mix
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

Slice cookie dough and press in bottom of greased 13 x 9" square pan. Bake the crust at 350 degrees for 10-13 minutes until light golden brown. Cool completely and set aside.

In heavy saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and water. Add frosting mix and blend well. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Stir in marshmallows, pecans, and chocolate chips and spoon onto cooled crust. Cool completely and cut into pieces to serve. 36 bars
