White Chocolate Wedges

White Chocolate Wedges

Linda Larsen
This incredible brownie recipe has a wonderful flavor combination of very sweet and creamy white chocolate with deeper chocolate drizzled on top.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: Serves 10

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream, divided

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9" round or square baking pan with nonstick baking spray containing flour and set aside.

In small saucepan, melt butter and 1/4 cup white chocolate chips over low heat. Stir frequently until melted. Remove from heat and set aside. (Don't try to melt them in the microwave; that just doesn't work.)

In small bowl, beat eggs, salt and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes at high speed. Add melted chocolate mixture and vanilla and mix well. Add flour and mix well. Fold in 1/4 cup white chocolate chips and 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake for 23-28 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

In small microwave-safe bowl, combine remaining 1/4 cup white chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon cream. Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute; remove and stir. Continue microwaving for 30 second intervals on half power, stirring after each interval, until mixture is smooth. Drizzle over cooled brownies.

Let stand until chocolate is set, then cut into wedges to serve.
