Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 English muffins, split and toasted
Preparation:
In heavy skillet cook mushrooms in olive oil until tender and brown. Add to ground beef along with garlic salt and mix gently. Form into four burgers, 1/2" thick, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.Prepare and preheat grill. Cook burgers 4-6" from medium coals for 10-12 minutes, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Top burgers with swiss cheese, cover grill, and cook for about 1 minute to melt cheese. Serve on split, toasted English muffins.
