Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 5/8 to 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2-3/4 cups bread flour
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. nonfat dry milk powder
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp. active dry yeast
Preparation:
This recipe is scaled to a 1-1/2 lb. bread machine.
Place all ingredients in bread pan, using the least amount of liquid in the recipe. Select Light Crust setting and press Start. Observe the dough as it kneads. If after 5-10 minutes it appears dry or if your machine sounds as if it's straining, add more liquid 1 Tbsp. at a time until the dough is smooth, soft, and slightly tacky to the touch.
After the baking cycle ends, cool bread on wire rack for 1 hour before slicing. Makes 1 loaf.
