This simple crockpot recipe for Madras Chicken cooks for hours in your slow cooker and is full of nutrition and good taste.

  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 apples, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 (8-ounce) jar mango chutney
  • 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs


Combine all ingredients in a 4-5 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours until chicken is thoroughly cooked and onions are tender. Stir well and serve over hot cooked couscous or rice, if desired.

Delicious and easy, Guest Cyn

I love curry powder and so does my husband, so this was an obvious choice. Just before serving I stirred in more curry powder because long cooking reduces the strength. Then I added some sour cream mixed with some cornstarch to make it creamy. Definitely going to make this one again, and soon.
