Frosted Brownie Cookies

Frosted Brownie Cookies

These cookies are rich, fudgy, and super easy to make. You can leave off the white chocolate garnish if you're pressed for time.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Total Time: 22 minutes

Yield: 24 cookies

  • 1 (15-ounce) box brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 can ready to spread chocolate frosting
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

In large bowl, combine brownie mix, flour, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix with spoon until blended. Stir in milk chocolate chips. Cover dough and chill for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or Silpat liners. Shape dough into 1-1/2" balls and place 3" apart on prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 10-14 minutes or until cookies are just set; do not overbake. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets, then remove from sheets carefully with large spatula and cool on wire racks.

Frost cookies with chocolate frosting. Place white chocolate chips in small freezer bag; microwave on 30% power for 1 minute. Continue microwaving for 30 second intervals at 50% power until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.

Cut a small hole in the corner of one bag and pipe white chocolate over the chocolate frosting on the cookies. Using a toothpick, drag through the white chocolate to make designs, if desired. Let stand until set.

Fudgy and yummy, Guest

My kids made most of this recipe - I just helped getting the cookie pans in and out of the oven. They were so proud and the cookies are wonderful!!
