Witches Fingers Sandwiches

By Linda Larsen, About.com

You can use any kind of sandwich filling in these fun 'finger foods'. Just don't overfill the sandwiches so they are easy to eat.

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated cornmeal bread stick dough
  • 6 slices pepperoni
  • 12 slices American cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. honey mustard salad dressing
  • cooked turkey slices
  • shredded lettuce

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll dough and separate into 12 breadsticks. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and straighten dough. Cut fingernail-shaped pieces from pepperoni slices and place on one end of dough to resemble fingernail. Bake breadsticks at 375 degrees for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Cool on wire racks. You may need to fasten the pepperoni 'fingernail' with mayonnaise or ketchup after baking.

Carefully split each breadstick in half, making sure the 'fingernail' is on top. Make sandwiches with the split breadsticks using cheese, dressing, turkey, and lettuce, or any of your favorite sandwich fillings. 12 sandwiches
