If you can find different varieties of tomatoes, combine them in this fresh salsa. I love using yellow tomatoes, some heirloom varieties like Brandywine, and sweet cherry and grape tomatoes.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
  • 2 serrano or jalapeno chilies, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients and toss gently to mix. Cover and let stand for about 1 hour to blend flavors. Serve with chips for an appetizer or as a topping on grilled steak or chicken.

Wonderful Salsa, Member cemrie

I followed this recipe exactly and the tomato salsa is wonderful....so fresh and good. My husband loves it, also, and it's a great use for our abundance of tomatoes!
