Snickerdoodles

This classic recipe is a real favorite with kids.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2-3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In large bowl, combine 1-1/2 cups sugar, butter, and eggs and mix well until blended. Then add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and blend well.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon in small saucer. Form dough into 1" balls and roll in cinnamon sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes until light golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets to wire rack immediately to cool. Store covered at room temperature. 72 cookies
