You can use other flavors of prepared frosting to vary this sweet frozen dessert recipe. Any type of fresh fruit would make a great topping. Use my recipe for The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies to make the crumbs; or use packaged or bakery cookies.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chocolate chip cookie crumbs
- 1/3 cup ground walnuts
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
Combine cookie crumbs, nuts and butter; reserve two tablespoons. Press rest in bottom of 9" square pan. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mascarpone cheese and frosting and beat until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour over crumb crust and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Cover well and freeze for 3 hours or until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting to make serving easier. 9 servings
