You can use other flavors of prepared frosting to vary this sweet frozen dessert recipe. Any type of fresh fruit would make a great topping. Use my recipe for The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies to make the crumbs; or use packaged or bakery cookies.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chocolate chip cookie crumbs
- 1/3 cup ground walnuts
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
Combine cookie crumbs, nuts and butter; reserve two tablespoons. Press rest in bottom of 9" square pan. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mascarpone cheese and frosting and beat until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.Pour over crumb crust and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Cover well and freeze for 3 hours or until firm. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting to make serving easier. 9 servings
