Tortellini with Three Sauces

Entertaining, especially during the holiday season, can be challenging. Not only do you need to spend time getting the house (and yourself!) ready, but you need to make the food! And a dinner menu can be expensive. Just look at the cost for a beef roast or pork tenderloin; you can easily spend more than $20.00 just on the entree!

But not with this menu. Baked Tortellini with Three Sauces is gorgeous, indulgent, rich, and delicious, and uses inexpensive ingredients. It only tastes expensive! And you can make it ahead of time. Just cover and refrigerate the pan after you've stirred in the tortellini and pesto sauce. When you're ready to bake, top with the Alfredo sauce and Parmesan cheese; then bake, adding 10-15 minutes to the total baking time. Your guests will love it.

Enjoy this delicious meal with family and friends!

Holiday Dinner Menu: Baked Tortellini with Three Sauces

  • Melon and Avocado Cocktail
What a gorgeous appetizer! You can make the melon and dressing mixture ahead of time. Just before you serve this recipe, prepare the avocado, or ask a guest to do it. A light appetizer is appropriate before a rich meal.
  • Baked Tortellini with Three Sauces
This recipe makes a lot of food, and it's very rich. This actually may serve 10-12 people! Vary the spice level by using spicier sausage, or add some red pepper flakes to the pasta sauce.
  • Easy Sourdough French Bread
I love this easy recipe, and you will too. You can make the bread a day before your dinner party; just wrap it and keep it at room temperature. Of course, if you really want to wow your guests, bring it out of the oven as they arrive so the whole house smells like heaven! You can serve the bread as-is, or slice and toast it to make Toasted Garlic Bread.
  • Grape Salad
This fresh, sweet, and slightly tart salad is the perfect accompaniment to the rich entree. Use lots of different colored grapes for a pretty presentation.
  • Herbed Spinach Salad
A homemade dressing is a lot less expensive than purchased dressing and more special too. Add any fresh herbs you'd like to the dressing. You can omit the olives if you'd like.
  • Chocolate Oatmeal Cake
This is one of my favorite cake recipes. It's easier than a traditional German Chocolate layer cake, but tastes just like it. Yum.
