This is the menu I make when it's my turn to host Easter dinner. You can see a lot of the recipes in Traditional Easter Dinner, Step by Step.
Set the table using your best china and crystal, and be sure to decorate the place settings with flowers. I like to put a couple of flower buds in tiny vases at each place setting; in fact, you can use those vases as place cards. Open the windows if it's a nice day outside, and if it's cold and rainy (or snowy, which has been known to happen), build a fire in the fireplace.
Then enjoy the meal with family and friends. Happy Easter!
Traditional Easter Dinner
Sour Cream Pesto Dip
This dip can be served with everything from crackers to crisp bread sticks to baby carrots, mushrooms, and celery. Put it in a pretty bowl on a platter to serve.
Honey Butter Ham
This beautiful ham is coated with a mixture of butter, honey, brown sugar, and mustard. The whole cloves make it look beautiful and add a spicy taste.
Potatoes Grand Mere
This perfect recipe is just the thing to complement the tender ham. It's rich and creamy and delicious.
Parker House Rolls
These rolls set the gold standard for me - and for many of you too! Be sure to follow the directions carefully.
Asparagus really starts to appear in the markets at this time. Roasting the tender spears brings out their flavor.
Frozen Fruit Salad
This easy and delicious fruit salad recipe can be made days ahead of time.
Lemon Truffled Pie
I love this pie and have to make it every Easter. A creamy white chocolate layer is topped with homemade lemon curd. Yum.
My Sister's Lemon Meringue Pie
This is the best Lemon Meringue Pie ever, and my sister makes it better than anybody in the world. Including me.
