These are my favorite Everyday Menus. Everyday Menus was created to help give you ideas for combining foods and recipes in your daily schedule.

Keep in mind that you can substitute ingredients in these recipes and menus to your heart's content. If your family is sick of chicken breasts, use pork chops or turkey cutlets instead. Even though we no longer have to 'eat with the seasons' as our ancestors did, I still like to change my menus with the seasons.

1. Salmon with Lemon Couscous

This is the perfect spring dinner, fancy enough for entertaining. You could serve some quick breadsticks instead of the garlic bread, and serving ice cream with an assortment of toppings is a good substitute for the frozen dessert pie.

2. Impossible Pie Dinner

These recipes aren't traditional or classic pies; a batter holds all the ingredients together so the dishes hold their shape when cut. The batter does get nice and crisp on the bottom so it resembles a pie crust. I love the combination of three kinds of cheese, tender chicken, and Italian seasonings.

3. Roasted Lamb Chops

Lamb is meat from sheep that are less than one year old, which is why it so tender and sweet. When purchasing lamb, look for firm flesh that is evenly marbled with flecks of fat. Loin chops and rib chops are the most tender. Use fresh lamb within 3-4 days, or wrap it well and freeze up to 6 months.

4. Turkey Cordon Bleu Dinner

Turkey tenderloins are such a wonderful cut of meat; they are always tender and delicious and there's absolutely no waste. Stuffed with ham and cheese and baked to juicy perfection, they are a real treat. You could serve them with a crisp green salad instead of the couscous and chickpea side dish.

5. Packable Lunch Menu

There aren't many people who eat lunch at home any more. Whether your kids need lunch packed for a busy school day, you need a quick lunch you can eat at your desk at work, or you're out running errands and need to refuel, packable lunches are a necessity.

6. Lemon Chicken Dinner

This is an upscale menu that is still ready in only about 30 minutes. You can certainly omit the fennel if it's difficult to find or if your family doesn't care for it; the recipe will still be delicious. Have your kids make the breadsticks; they'll have fun working with the refrigerated dough. And you can certainly substitute a bakery pie for the frozen dessert.

7. Five Ingredient Chicken Fingers Dinner

Yes, five ingredients for a complete dinner! This is a real kid friendly dinner and is ready in about 20 minutes, start to finish. If peas aren't your idea of a great side dish, use purchased salad mix, or substitute asparagus or corn. For dessert? Pass out chocolate coated ice cream bars!

8. Get Going Breakfast!

These easy and delicious make ahead breakfast recipes are the perfect combination to get your family going in the morning. I especially love the Make Ahead Bran Muffins recipe; it's almost always in my fridge.

9. Go Southwest!

Tex Mex Fettuccine is a fabulous five ingredient recipe that is perfect for a last minute dinner. If you can't find good avocados, leave them out and substitute dollops of frozen prepared (thawed!) guacamole or sour cream. You can make Melon Medley with canned fruits too, for a super easy and nutritious side dish.

10. Breakfast for Dinner

Every now and then it's quite comforting and soothing to eat breakfast foods for dinner. Swiss Eggs is one of my all time favorite recipes, especially because you usually have all of the ingredients on hand. Use your favorite cheese and you can certainly leave out the dry mustard if your kids don't like it. Serve frozen hash brown patties instead of the creamy hash brown bake, and a bakery coffee cake will do quite well for the Chocolate Chip Coffeecake.
