Five Minute Recipes

These wonderful and delicious five minute recipes are super quick and easy. But they don't have to be boring! With judicious use of convenience foods and premade products, you can make some fabulous meals in almost no time.

Most of these recipes require no cooking, because I don't know of any baked recipes that only take five minutes in the oven. Some use the microwave. Remember that you can substitute ham or roast beef for chicken; bell peppers for peas or corn; broccoli for asparagus; and on and on and on. Use your favorite foods to make these delicious recipes your own.

You do need to manage your time well when making these five minute recipes, but if they take you six or seven minutes to make, what's the difference? The point is you can feed your family well in very little time with very little fuss. Enjoy these easy recipes.

Five Minute Recipes

  • Pantry Gazpacho
    This five minute recipe is made with canned tomatoes, corn, and green beans, canned tomato juice, and canned salad shrimp. But it has a wonderful fresh taste and is ready in a flash.
  • Almost Instant Ice Cream
    You really can (and should) eat this delicious ice cream the second it's made.
  • Strawberries Dipped in Chocolate
    This could be a 2-minute recipe if you use a purchased chocolate sauce! But the homemade variety is so good and only takes an additional minute or two.
  • Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake in a Cup
    If you want to make this recipe often, keep a box of cake mix in your pantry marked just for this treat. Put the dry mix in a heavy duty plastic bag and seal it, then put it back into the cake box. This super simple recipe is so good for a quick snack.
  • Bologna Slaw Wrap Sandwiches
    Any type of ready to eat sausage, thinly sliced, is delicious in this wonderful wrap.
  • Cottage Cheese Sandwich Spread
    This unusual old-fashioned spread is a wonderful recipe to keep in the fridge for hungry children to make into their own sandwiches!
