Tilapia with Avocado is a super simple recipe that highlights the flavors of the fish and avocado. It only takes about 25 minutes, start to finish. I served this recipe with Dilled Coleslaw, then used the leftovers of both to make Fish and Slaw Sandwiches.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yield: 4 servings


  • 4 (6-8 ounce) tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a 9" x 13" baking dish with parchment paper. Place fillets on paper. In small bowl, combine oil, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika and mix. Brush over fish.

Bake the fish for 20-25 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Meanwhile, combine avocado, cherry tomatoes, and lemon juice in small bowl. Spoon avocado mixture over fish and serve immediately.
