It's time for more five ingredient recipes! With summer here, quick chicken salads are again on the table (and in the fridge!). And the best way to get in and out of the kitchen quickly is to use fewer ingredients.
It's important that you make sure the ingredients are all top notch when using five or less; each one plays a very important part in the recipe. These recipes all use five ingredients or less, not counting oil, water, flour, salt, pepper, and spices.
To cook chicken for these recipes, see How to Cook Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts. I prefer to bake chicken breasts in parchment or poach them for the most moist and tender results.
And these recipes are so easy to vary. If you aren't in the mood for chicken, try using smoked turkey from the deli, cooked shrimp, cubed ham, lump crabmeat, or cubed cheeses in place of the chicken. After all, summer is made for improvising.
