Fourth of July Portable Picnic Menu

  • Sour Cream Pesto Dip
A dip, with lots of crunchy vegetables, is a great way to begin any meal. This flavorful dip is especially easy to make.
  • Baked Fried Chicken
I love this recipe because it's easy to make, is better for you than typical fried chicken, and travels well. You can use this recipe to make Baked Fried Chicken thighs too; just bake them about 5 minutes longer than the chicken breasts.
  • Kris' Famous Sweet Potato Salad
This super easy recipe starts with canned sweet potatoes, although you can certainly cook your own if you're so inclined. The recipe is smooth and sweet with a slight kick, and nice crunch from the vegetables.
  • Ham and Cheese in Rye
A sandwich is perfect picnic food. This easy recipe, which starts with a whole unsliced round loaf of bread, is fun too.
  • Couscous Vegetable Salad
Couscous makes the perfect picnic side salad. And all the vegetables add color, flavor, and nutrition!
  • White Chocolate Chunk Wedges
This recipe is a real winner. The white chocolate chunks are enveloped in a brown sugar dough, and the dark chocolate drizzled on top is delicious.
  • The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
