Crockpot Bow Ties and Beef

The flavors and texture combinations in this excellent crockpot entree recipe are really perfect. Your family will love this casserole.

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 14 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 16 oz. pkg. bow tie pasta (farfalle)
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

In a large skillet, saute ground beef, onion & garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to 4-5 quart crockpot. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, and seasonings.

Cover crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until bubbly. When ready to serve, cook and drain pasta. Turn crockpot setting to high; stir in pasta, thoroughly drained spinach and cheeses. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Serves 6
