Crockpot Tortellini

Try using your favorite type of Italian sausage instead of ground beef in this recipe. It's sure to be a hit with your kids!

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 8 hours

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 oz. container marinara sauce
  • 8 oz. pkg. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 14 oz. can diced tomatoes with seasonings, undrained
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 9 oz. pkg. refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Brown ground beef together with onions in nonstick skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until beef is browned. Drain thoroughly. Mix all ingredients except tortellini and cheese in 4-5 quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Add tortellini, stir to combine, then sprinkle with cheese. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 15-20 minutes or until tortellini is tender and cheese is melted. 4 servings
