Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 oz. can diced tomatoes with chiles, undrained
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, drained
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles or jalapeno peppers, drained
- 1 tsp. sugar
Preparation:
Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet and drain well. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer mixture for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Use as a topping for taco salad or Ground Beef Tostadas.
