Pizza Fondue

Fondue is traditional in my husband's family for Christmas. If you have some picky kids in your family, you can still have fondue! Just make this one and serve it in a fondue pot with breadsticks for dippers. Or you can cut pizza dough into wedges, brush with olive oil, and bake it until brown and crispy. You can adjust the seasonings however you like in this recipe - leave out the beef, cut back on the onion or garlic. Just enjoy.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (10 oz.) cans pizza sauce
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar four cheese Alfredo sauce
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves

Preparation:

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in heavy skillet. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly, stirring frequently, until cheeses melt and mixture is blended. Pour into fondue pot and dig in! Serves 8

Kids love it!, Guest Mimi

This is the fondue I make for the kids (the adults get the real thing made with wine and Gruyere cheese). They love it - especially the breadstick dippers. It's really easy too.
