When you're making these recipes, or any recipes using packaged candy, be sure to watch the weight of the product. If a recipe calls for 10 ounces of white chocolate with almonds, for instance, you can use tiny snack-size bars as long as the weight of the bars adds up to 10 ounces.
Be sure to follow all the rules of baking when making these treats. And get your kids in on the act! They will love to help unwrap the candies (perhaps sneaking a bite or two) and will enjoy seeing the delicious and decadent results.
Halloween Candy Leftover Recipes
- Candy Cake
Nougat and caramel bars are melted into the cake batter and the frosting of this luscious recipe. You can make a sheet cake or a bundt cake with these candies; it's your choice!
- Snicker Bar Pie
This pie really does taste just like a Snickers bar - but ten times better! The smooth filling holds chopped up Snickers bars, and the smooth frosting is luscious.
- Peanut Butter Candy Cookies
Leftover candy coated chocolate pieces and a cake mix make these irresistible cookies so easy to make. Use chocolate or peanut butter, or chocolate peanut candies in this recipe.
- Snicker Cookies
These fabulous cookies look so innocent, but they pack a punch. I like to make the 40-cookie version, just because they're easier to handle.
- Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle
Any candy bar could be used in this fabulous trifle in place of the peanut butter cups. Use your imagination and enjoy. This trifle really could serve 20 people because it's super rich.
- Candy Bar Brownies
What could make brownies better? A bunch of chopped up candy bars stirred into the batter and into the frosting. These brownies will make people swoon.
- Snickers Salad
Okay, this isn't your traditional salad. The only place I've seen it is in delis in the Midwest and in church cookbooks. But it's surprisingly good. The chewy candy bar is really a nice complement to the tart apples and cranberries and the creamy pudding. Try it!
- M&M Cookies
These cookies are my favorite. There's something about the combination of crisp candy, chocolate, and chewy cookies that is so satisfying.
- Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
These rich cookies are so easy to make. You can mix lots of different candies into the peanut butter dough if you'd like. The creamy chocolate frosting melds the two cookies together to create something that's more than a sum of its parts. Yum.
