Ranch Salad Dressing Mix

this ""dry mix recipe"" is wonderful to have on hand. easy to prepare, no msg and can be used for recipes other than ranch dressing/dip. i also use it w/ my dry coating mix for pork chops, cube steaks, etc. i prepared dry mix recipe to the tee. i didn't have buttermilk, but found some dry buttermilk blend at walmart (great to have on hand, kept in fridge). my first attempt at this recipe using the exact amount of dry mix, milk, and prepared buttermilk mixture turned out extremely watery. second attempt, using 1 1/2 tsp dry buttermilk mixture, approx 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream (to taste and consistency) and 1 1/2 tsp dry ranch dressing mix came out superb. i prefer my dressing/dip on the thicker side. nice flavor and consistency, and msg free. i keep dry mixture in fridge. give it a try. •2/3 cup dried parsley flakes •1/4 cup finely crushed saltine crackers •1/3 cup dried minced onion •3 Tbsp. garlic salt •2 Tbsp. onion salt •1 Tbsp. garlic powder •1 Tbsp. onion powder •1 Tbsp. dried dill weed •1/4 tsp. pepper
