Make your own seasoned rice mix. You can use white or brown rice in this recipe. The only difference (besides the fiber content and some nutrition) is in the cooking time.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups uncooked long grain white rice OR brown rice
- 1/4 cup dried parsley flakes
- 2 Tbsp. instant chicken or beef bouillon powder
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients, pour into tightly sealed container, and store up to 6 months.
In medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water and 1 Tbsp. butter to boil. Stir in 1 cup Seasoned Rice Mix, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15-20 minutes for the white rice, or 30-40 minutes for the brown rice, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Fluff with fork before serving. 3 servings
