Juicy Turkey Burgers are quick and easy and so delicious. Top them anyway you'd like.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 13 minutes

Total Time: 33 minutes

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 6 slices Muenster cheese
  • 2 tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • 6 lettuce leaves
  • 6 whole wheat sandwich buns, split and toasted
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup creamy Dijon mustard spread

Preparation:

In small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in butter until very tender. Place in large bowl and cool 10 minutes. Add bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and pepper and mix well. Work in turkey with your hands until combined. Form into six patties.

Refrigerate patties 2-3 hours. Grill or saute until done, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F.

Top with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese melts. Assemble burgers with tomatoes, lettuce, buns, mayonnaise, and creamy Dijon mustard spread.

These burgers are reallyl delicious. I made them for a graduation party and they were the first to disappear. I love the cooked onion and garlic in the burgers. These will be my go-to burger recipe! I'm going to try it with ground beef too.
