Ingredients:
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup fresh soft bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1-1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 6 slices Muenster cheese
- 2 tomatoes, thickly sliced
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 whole wheat sandwich buns, split and toasted
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup creamy Dijon mustard spread
Preparation:
Refrigerate patties 2-3 hours. Grill or saute until done, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F.
Top with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese melts. Assemble burgers with tomatoes, lettuce, buns, mayonnaise, and creamy Dijon mustard spread.
