Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix OR Homemade Taco Mix
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. diced green chilies, drained
- 8 slices Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos
- 4 kaiser rolls, split
- 1/2 cup salsa
Preparation:
Grill, covered, 4-6" from medium coals for 14-16 minutes, turning once, until burgers are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, or are 160 degrees when tested with meat thermometer (be sure you're not testing the temperature of the cheese filling!). Top with more cheese and let melt while you grill the split kaiser rolls. Serve burgers with salsa on rolls. 4 sandwiches
