User Rating 4 Star Rating (2 Reviews)

The fish in this super easy Crockpot Fish Chowder recipe is cooked frozen so it won't overcook and it stays tender.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 7 hours

Total Time: 7 hours, 15 minutes

Yield: Serves 6

  • 1 lb. frozen fish fillets
  • 2 potatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 10 oz. can cream of celery soup
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen corn
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf

In 3-5 quart crockpot, place potatoes, and onions. Add soup, corn, water and seasonings and mix gently. Cut fish fillets in half and place on top of other ingredients in slow cooker. Cover crockpot and cook on low for 7-8 hours until fish flakes when tested with fork. Do not stir during cooking time.

Remove bay leaf and break fish into chunks. If desired, thicken stew with cornstarch and water mixture.

Delicious soup, Member Tony6661959

This soup is really easy and delicious. Since my wife is on a salt-restricted diet, I used low sodium soup and didn't add salt because the recipe didn't need it. Thanks!
