Yes, you can serve steak to four people for $10! The trick is to slice the juicy steak fairly thin and serve it with other delicious food in a main dish salad. The meat goes further and all of the flavors combine for a fabulous and easy meal.

If you can't find a sirloin steak for $4.00 a pound or less, buy a cheaper cut like round steak and marinate it in the fridge for 8-24 hours before cooking. That means you have to plan ahead of time, but this meal is worth waiting for!

You can cook this steak on the outdoor grill, on an indoor dual-contact (i.e. George Foreman) grill, under the broiler, or on the stovetop. Just make sure to cook it no more than medium so it stays juicy and tender. Some hot and crisp homemade bread sticks are all you need to finish this meal.

Leftover steak is also delicious in this meal; you don't have to reheat it. Whether the meat is cold or hot, this recipe is a winner. Cost for serving four: $9.11
  • Soft Garlicky Breadsticks
Make just four breadsticks, or make them all; they reheat very well for dinner (or a snack!) tomorrow. Yum. Cost for serving four: $.89
