Tuna Waldorf Salad

Tuna Waldorf Salad

Linda Larsen
Like Chicken Waldorf Salad, but different! This delicious recipe would be fabulous served at a luncheon with tea, and also makes a great sandwich spread on cinnamon raisin bread.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz. pouch or 2 (6 oz.) cans white tuna
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1/2 cup low fat mayonnaise
  • 2-4 Tbsp. yogurt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Preparation:

If using canned tuna, drain well. In a large bowl, toss together apples and lemon juice. Add celery, raisins, walnuts, and tuna; toss gently. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, milk, cinnamon and sugar; blend well. Pour dressing over apple-tuna mixture; toss gently to coat. Serve immediately, or cover and chill for 2-3 hours to blend flavors.

So simple and good, Guest Jean

Love this recipe! It has been too hot to think about going into the kitchen, so I looked for no cook recipes. This one is a winner because the apple and celery really complement the tuna. I've made this with salmon too. Yummy!
