Grilled Mustard Salmon Salad

Grilled Mustard Salmon Salad

For Mom's special day, make lunch on the grill. Since most Dads seem to be grillmasters (if you're not, take a look at How to Grill), this menu is a no-brainer.

Eat outside if it's nice. If it's not, the grillmaster can brave the elements while the kids set the table and get the non-grilled food ready. Then everyone sit down and enjoy an excellent meal. And don't forget to give Mom her presents!

Mother's Day Grilled Lunch Menu

  • Mustard Grilled Salmon Salad
This delicious main dish salad is beautiful too. You can prepare the vegetables ahead of time; just keep them in a baggie in the fridge. Cook on the indoor dual-contact grill, on a grill pan on your stove, or preferably on the outdoor grill.
  • Grilled Cheese Bread
Nothing is more luxurious or delicious than bread grilled with melted cheese. Use Mom's favorite cheese in this easy recipe.
  • Grilled New Potatoes
New potatoes, or baby potatoes, start appearing in the market around this time of year. Grilling takes them to a new level of flavor. Or you can bake them in the oven if Dad just wants to grill the salmon and veggies for the salad.
  • Seven Layer Slaw
Make this salad ahead of time and let it meld in the fridge. You can use purchased coleslaw mix as the recipe directs, or shred your own.
  • Ribbon Angel Food Sherbet Cake
This gorgeous dessert is fun to make. And because you make it ahead of time, all you have to do on Mother's day is pull it out of the freezer, slice it, and eat.
