Ingredients:
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup cream
- 1 cup thick blue cheese salad dressing
- 2 cups grated Havarti cheese
- 1 cup crumbled blue cheese
Preparation:
Meanwhile, cook bacon in large saucepan until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels, crumble, and set aside. Pour bacon fat from pan, but do not wipe out.
Add butter to drippings remaining in pan; melt over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until onion starts to brown, about 6-8 minutes. Add flour; cook and stir for 1 minute.
Add milk and cream; cook and stir until sauce thickens. Add blue cheese salad dressing, Havarti, and blue cheese; cook and stir until creamy.
Add pasta to cheese sauce; cook and stir gently for 1-2 minutes until blended. Stir in reserved bacon and serve immediately.
