Crockpot Pork Chili

By Linda Larsen, About.com

Use your favorite salas in this super easy recipe. A hot salsa will make the chili spicier. If you like really hot food, add a chopped jalapeno pepper.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 15-oz. can chunky tomato sauce
  • 12-oz. jar thick and chunky salsa
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients except green pepper in 3-5 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until pork is tender. Add bell pepper, increase heat to high, and cook for 15-20 minutes longer. 6 servings
