Slow Cooker Barbecued Ribs

By Linda Larsen, About.com

You can use other preserves in place of the pineapple preserves in this delicious crockpot recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds boneless country style pork ribs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-1/2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple preserves
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Preparation:

Spray 4-6 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Place onion, garlic, and ribs in prepared cooker. Pour 1 cup barbecue sauce over ribs, then cover crockpot and cook on LOW for 8-9 hours.

Drain ribs and discard juices from crockpot. Combine remaining barbecue sauce and preserves in a small bowl and pour over ribs in crockpot, turning to coat. Cover and cook on HIGH for 25-30 minutes or until ribs are glazed. 6 servings
