Tips for Discarding Bacon Fat

To get rid of the bacon fat, line a small cup with heavy-duty foil. Carefully pour the bacon fat into the cup and place it in the freezer. When the bacon fat is frozen, you can save it for recipes, as some people use it in gingersnaps or to fry food. Or throw it away by just folding the foil around the solidified fat and discarding.

Never pour hot bacon fat down the drain, even if you have a diposal. As it cools, it will harden and it will clog the pipes.
