Refried beans hold together the other taco inspired ingredients in this simple main dish pie recipe.

Ingredients:
- 1 9" pie shell
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 oz. can refried beans
- 1/3 cup taco sauce
- 1 cup crushed taco chips
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Cojack cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Cotija or Parmesan cheese
- sour cream
- salsa
- diced tomatoes
- cubed avocado
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare pie shell and set aside. In heavy skillet, cook ground beef, onions, and garlic until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain well. Stir in refried beans, taco sauce, crushed taco chips, seasonings, and Cheddar cheese. Place in pie shell. Sprinkle top with Cojack and cotija cheeses.Bake pie at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is hot and bubbly. Top with remaining ingredients as desired. Serves 8
